ALL ROLES OPEN; Non-Union/Non-Paid
We are in search of a multi-talented comic cast of actors, singers, and dancers-- We will be casting a total of 18 performers for this production.

Casting the following roles:

Gomez Addams—Male, age 35-55. A man of Spanish descent who adores his wife, takes great pride in his children, and is immensely proud to be an Addams. Caught up in secrets between his daughter and his wife, he feels completely trapped and unable to make either happy. Must have great comedic timing, ability to move well, and strong tenor vocals. Accent preferred. Vocal Range: Bflat2-G4

Morticia Addams—Female, age 35-55. The real head of the family and the critical moving force behind it. She feels her husband is hiding something from her and will use any tactic to lure the secret out. Seeking a clever comedic actress with a sexy, dry wit; a strong dancer. Vocal Range: G3-Bflat5

Uncle Fester—Male, age 30-60. Serves as the musicals narrator; child-like, hugely enthusiastic and totally incorrigible; a vaudevillian, needs strong comedy and tenor vocals. Must be bald or willing and able to go bald for tech and performances. Vocal Range: C3-C5

Grandma—Female or Male, age 40+ to play feisty 102 year old woman. Fun and quirky, but don't mess with Grandma; comedic with strong character vocals. Vocal Range: G4-F5 (adjustable for a male actor)

Wednesday Addams—Female, age 17-25 to play 18. Gothic & morbid, but a blossoming beauty; witty with a terrifically dry sense of humor; just wants her family to be "normal" for one night to meet the parents of the boy she's fallen in love with; strong pop belt vocals. Preferably seeking actresses 5'5” & under for this role. Vocal Range: A3-E5

Pugsley Addams—Male, 10-13. A husky boy with great comedic sensibility. Pugsley loves being tortured by his sister; he wants to ensure he won't lose his sister to her new boyfriend so he takes matters into his own hands; strong, high vocals. Voice not yet changed preferred. 5'3" max height requirement.

Lurch—Male, age 25-55. Seeking actors 6'2” and taller. A man of very few words, often spoken at half speed; most of what he utters are long, plaintive groans, though often tinged with irony or exasperation; must possess low bass vocals. Vocal Range: Eflat2-E4

Mal Beineke—Male, age 40-55. Stuffy father of 19 year old Lucas and exasperated husband to his rhyming wife, Alice; thinks the Addams' are beyond strange and does not want to spend time having dinner with them, much less be related to them; musical theater bari-tenor. Vocal range: C3-A4

Alice Beineke—Female, age 35-50. Sweet and seemingly simple mother of 19 year old Lucas. Utterly devoted to her family, she puts aside her own desires; while at the Addams Family dinner party, she drinks a potion that causes her to let her hair down and sing her darkest truths; very strong comedic actress with powerful belt vocals. Vocal Range: Aflat3-Gsharp5

Lucas Beineke—Male, age 18-25 to play 19. Attractive young man; has fallen in love with Wednesday and plans to marry her; experiences the youthful pain and drama of young love and struggles with the differences between his own family and the Addams family. Contemporary pop tenor vocals. Vocal Range: C3-C5

The Addams Ancestors – Males (4) and Females (4), age 18+ [there is the potential for one younger performer here as well with strong vocals/dance]. Strong contemporary singers/dancers who help Uncle Fester tell the story and provide a visual Greek chorus of sorts. Quirky but sensible characters. Should be able to hold tight harmonies and have some experience with various styles of dance.
